FDR was a tall man and suffered from polio.  He designed the bathtub himself, between Congress passing Neutrality Acts, fighting the Great Depression, fiscal and monetary policy challenges from Huey Long and Father Coughlin, and the rise of fascism in Europe. A great man with many abilities.

When comparing the USS Potomac to the USS Sequoia, it is clear Potomac has  less of a "yacht" look and more of a functional and simple style. The Potomac website also states that President Roosevelt preferred the steel Potomac over the wooden Sequoia because it was steel; he feared being unable to escape a fire since he was a paraplegic.

A Lighter Moment

No Clowns were harmed in the photographing of this picture, but the XO did run away screaming, then threw himself into the water crying.
